Hello,
I’m Natasha Boyce, your Money Savvy Sista, helping you have more fun and freedom with your finances. And I want to share with you the fourth principle of my money philosophy. The fourth principle is to STOP JUDGING YOUR MONEY.
Think about what you would do if you could stop judging your money and yourself. What if there wasn’t so much judgement around money. It’snot considered nice to talk about money. Nice girls don’t talk about Money. And you want to be nice, don’t you? Then, If you have the audacity to talk about it or say you want more or exercise more control over what you have…you may be called greedy, selfish, unkind and irresponsible.
But, what I know is there is a great life on the other side when you care less about those labels and what others think of your money goals..
As a coach, I never make judgments on how my clients spend their money. My advice is to drink all the STARBUCKs you can and buy all the shoes. But you need to create a plan for your spending and making those purchases. You should only spend money on things you love and things that are in line with your values. And when we are not paying attention, your money goes to all kinds of services and products that bring no value to your life.
Now, unless you’re very wealthy, you can’t have everything. There will be some areas where you will need to reduce your spending in order to redirect that money to those things that are important to you. Easy example for me is that I have a beautiful, used Toyota Corolla because I know I’d rather spend money on concert tickets or investing in myself. For you it may be different. Maybe you have a new range rover and a small studio apartment because you’re never home anyway.
And maybe you have some bills or something you’ve paid for that you wish you could change. But the good news is that YOU CAN CHANGE your mind and make a different decision in the future. But you can’t make changes if you are using your energy to judge and shame yourself.
So I am asking you to stop judging your money. And I am Natasha Boyce, your Money Savvy Sista, helping you have more fun and freedom with your finances.
I really enjoy the blog. Much thanks again. Want more. Nolie Cosme Symer
